ESTATE SALE 2407 37TH STREET, GALVESTON, TX February 15th, 16th and 17th

Friday 8:00 -5:00. Sat. 8;00-5:00, Sunday 10:00-4:00

Here is the second phase of the sale you have been waiting for! Finally. It’s been a real chore to empty the attic. The attic is the same size as the house. And believe it or not it was crammed full. For those of you who came to the first sale….well. this is just as crowded!

Once again I am honored to have the privilege to work with this wonderful estate. These items have lovingly been tucked away for years and years. Now it is time to find new homes for these treasures. And treasures there are!….

There was a wide range of merchandise in the attic from marbles to furniture. A lot of Galveston Memorabilia as well.

This house was built by John Egert. He was a contractor, builder, and house raiser of the early 1900s. He was deputized right after the 1900 Hurricane. He was very instrumental in the grade raising of Galveston Island. And he was also the County Commissioner and a Mason.

We have unearthed many of Mr Egerts belongings in the attic. Most exciting of all are many cabinet card photos of the buildings Mr Egert was in the process of raising. We have paper work and even some of his tools as well as his framed portrait.

There are also several souvenir type Galveston books of early 1900. Several I have not seen before. AND wonderful early Galveston photographs of the grade-raising.! These rarely ever turn up.

Please be aware…there is dirt. Attic dirt on the items that were not wrapped. Wear gloves if you need to and the lighting is poor. We tried to add light but there are very few receptacles.

We are only allowed 100 photos on this sight. We have used all of them. So there are many items not shown. Come and see in person.

Furniture. the few pieces that were left from the first sale will be marked down. There was more furniture in the attic

ESTATE SALE 2407 37TH STREET, GALVESTON, TX January 18

2407 37TH STREET, GALVESTON, TX
January 18th, 19th and 20th, 2019
Friday 8:00 -5:00. Sat. 8;00-5:00, Sunday 10:00-4:00

I am proud to have the privilege to conduct this sale.   This house was built by a Galvestonian in 1915.  The house is very much the same as the day it was built.  You can see the original bead board behind the falling wall paper.   There are still push button switch plates.   It’s like stepping into a time warp. This SMALL house is literally overflowing with unique items.  So much so that we are going to have two sales here.  The attic is so full we can’t get it down until we sell what’s on the main floor.  So stayed tuned for the second sale as well.

Expect some dirt. Many items haven’t been touched in years.  There is no dishwasher and to much to wash.   So we are selling it as is.  Other items  have been wrapped in Saran Wrap so those are nice and clean as we unwrap them.

Since the house is so small and full we may have to limit the number of people we allow in at a time.. please be patient.

Collectors and Dealers alike will not want to miss this sale.
